Snow avalanche barriers are used in the prevention of snow avalanches. The system uses the combination of flexible nets and high yield anchors. The placement of the system is pre-engineered by avalanche experts to pinpoint the exact locations on the slope where the system is to be installed.

The system is also the largest snow avalanche barrier installed in the world.
